What’s a small upgrade you made that ended up being way more impactful than expected?

A modern robovac I just upgraded to. Goddamn, my 10 year old one I bought used is a toy compared to this one, there really has been a huge leap in the tech of these things recently it seems. The bot vacuums and mops better and with more accuracy than I can. It avoids obstacles, senses carpets, actua...

Why do we downvote negative roborock experiences

Because you keep saying “buy a refurbished dreame x40”. Do u not think u sound like a dreame salesman? Are we suppose to believe anything you say about the competition.

How to Keep Your House Clean Without Spending Hours a Day Cleaning

We got the Dream x40 Ultra. But I see there’s a new version (x50) that has 20kPa suction where mine has 12k. But It works great tbh. We have a golden (read: SO MUCH HAIR) who always has friends over, teenagers who always have friends over. Sweeping/vacuuming/mopping took SO much of my time. We have ...

I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA.

I am often surprised, and offended at how much difference there is in premium robots (which is what I tend to test, rather than budget or midrange). You should expect, if you pay that much, for a robot to work. This problem is much worse in lawnbots, but there is no condition under which I would pur...

What is the best robot vacuum currently that's really worth buying?

To add to this, the Dreams X40 is the most feature rich vacuum that supports Valetudo.

Why do we downvote negative roborock experiences

I just bought a qrevo pro. My sister just got a dreame x40. X40 has more features but also not perfect. We are all happy with our robots. I don’t have a preference. It’s just funny when I see your comment and post history. You’re hard selling dreame in Roborock sub and you’re like a customer service...

What’s one expensive thing you bought… but totally regret?

I like my dreame x40 so much. Save me lots of time cleaning the floor

If you could start over, would you still buy a Eufy S1 Pro, for those that prioritize mop cleaning?

100% will buy Eufy S1 Pro again. Tried Dreame x40 its mopping performance is no match for Eufy S1 Pro. I hope Eufy makes improvements in their next version, like higher suction (will be helpful for folks with carpets) and edge mopping and corner cleaning.

Anyone actually happy with their robotvacuum?

Have the dreame x40, verry happy. I'm not a fan of having an app for everything, so I integrated it into my home assistant easily. My wall mounted tablet makes it easy to start it, and I mapped color status so me and my SO know when to empty/fill water bins. Works like a charm! PS: Sometimes it gets...
