What’s the best budget action camera that isn’t total junk?
I haven’t used it, but the DJI Osmo Action 4 looks like it’s available for around $200 USD and checks all the boxes. That’s probably as inexpensive as you can get and still get good image quality and effective stabilization.

What type of Cameras are you guys using on your XC bikes?
DJI Osmo Action 4 on the handlebar, always hyperlapse. I don't like the twitchiness of a headmount, or the "too much bike" feel of a chest strap.

best pov camera what are you all using for everyday action stuff?
For biking and general POV stuff, most people end up with either a GoPro or the DJI Osmo Action 4 because the stabilization is very good and mounting is straightforward. Insta360 is also popular if you want more flexible framing after the fact, but it's a bit different workflow since it records ever

Are Premium action cameras still worth it for beginners
skip buying cheap ones as "tutorial" and go straight into buying a decent one instead, cause youll buy one anyway. older action cameras capable of 4K 10bit HDR (baseline res) such as DJI Osmo Action 4 goes around USD200 these days (biking specific combos probably USD300). GoPro 13 and Insta360 Ace s

Best Action Camera Right Now? Need Recommendations
I’ve been using the DJI Osmo Action 4 and it’s been really solid. Great stabilization, good battery life, and the footage looks clean even on bumpy rides. If you want alternatives, GoPro Hero 12/13 is still strong and the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 is great if you care more about image quality than simplici
