43 hours battery life: Dell XPS 14 2026 lasts almost 3x longer vs MacBook Air 15 M5 in web browsing test
Yeah XPS never again. I have got one in 2017 XPS 15 battery went bust 3 years later with Dell stopped producing the battery so the only replacement was with Chinese cheap knock offs. Buy a nice Thinkpad, that will last, battery takes 30 minutes to change and plenty of spare parts around.

43 hours battery life: Dell XPS 14 2026 lasts almost 3x longer vs MacBook Air 15 M5 in web browsing test
Dell XPS 14 & 16 is designed to rival MacBook Pro 14” & 16”. putting it against the Air is just weird in the first place and intentionally misleading for the people less familiar with this stuff… not to mention the Air models have significantly smaller battery capabilities than the Pros MacBook Pros

Panther Lake XPS 16 is so efficient, it draws just 1.5 W when idling for insanely long battery life
incredibly fucked up world we're living in where a dell xps has lower idle power draw and worse I/O than a macbook pro.

This makes zero sense laptops never last as long as they say they will. But WHY?
There was a time when this was absolutely true. Panther Lake (and lunar lake before it) has closed the gap. Notebookcheck actually does idle power consumption tests. The Dell XPS 16 running Panther Lake averages 1.3w-4.6w at idle. The best performing Macbook averages 1.5w-9w at idle. Your right in r

The 2026 Dell XPS lost 60% of its battery life (from 26.6 to 10.3 hours) simply by switching from a 1–120Hz IPS display to a 20–120Hz OLED, with everything else identical, including the same 150-nit brightness during the test. Which would you choose: longer battery life or OLED?
I don't trust Dell on battery life or thermals. Been burned (fortunately not literally) with the 2020 XPS 15 inch i7. Became borderline unusable after a short while because of thermal throttling. I know you can't judge a company on a product it made 6 years ago. But I wouldn't doubt that their newer

Dell XPS 13 9370, I got this bad boy for about 57$ USD
Funny. I just rescued an XPS 15 9500 from the recycle bin at work. Stole RAM from another machine that had two 8GB sticks but had a bad mobo, popped in a $40 Dell OEM battery off eBay, and it works perfectly! It’s spotless. Apparently it died a few months into use and they never do anything with jt

My DELL XPS Tried to Cook Itself in My Backpack Again
I have a XPS 16 and sleep mode doesn't work ... But hibernate doesn't seem to work either. Dell needs to prioritize and fix this.

43 hours battery life: Dell XPS 14 2026 lasts almost 3x longer vs MacBook Air 15 M5 in web browsing test
Games were mentioned here because they’re the only tested heavy-load scenario in that same video showing 40 hours of battery life Under any load, battery life on the Dell XPS will drop significantly. The more background apps you have open, the more browser tabs, and the more web apps like Spotify ru

Dell XPS 16 : should I pull the trigger ?
To quote Biden and Kamala, "don't."I have used Dell laptops (XPS) and still have a Dell XPS 9340 Intel Ultra 7 155h laying around, catching dust.Laptop + Windows + Dellis a death combo, and I know what I'm talking about. Dell always installs its software, which messes up the system; it updates the B

Dell XPS 16 : should I pull the trigger ?
You know you can install applications outside of the app store, right? Plus whatever doesn't have a native Windows application, you can use things like wine, parallels crossover but no I totally understand. I was highly looking at a Dell xps or Lenovo I think X1 carbon but for the amount of money th
