Best monitor setup for Excel-heavy home office: Dual monitors or 49″ ultrawide?

I have a 40” ultrawide dell u4025qw and it’s fantastic. You can easily have 2-3 excel windows open. I don’t think I’ve ever actually needed to have 1 excel window maximized. The monitor can also create multiple virtual monitors (so your computer sees your ultrawide as 2x monitors instead.

What non-Apple monitor would you get today?

Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor - U4025QW This is a really nice monitor 5k2k ultra wide that works perfectly with a Mac (M2 MacBook Pro here) and has things like 2.5G Ethernet and can daisy chain another display (I use that to connect my Apple Studio Display)

Is there a monitor with high PPI?

I mean, you left off the obvious option. The Mac Studio Display. But I chose the Dell u4025qw over it and don’t have any regrets. The text is sharp. I needed the built-in kvm, and 27-inches is pretty small these days. However, I bought my u4025qw before the asus 27-in 5k and 32-in 6k hit the market.

Ultrawide with crisp display. Suggestions?

I have the Dell u4025qw. They just released a much larger version of it as well. Very crisp text, but they're both very expensive. For reference, I came from a 4k LG 31.5" which was okay but nowhere near as nice as the Dell.

Best monitor setup for Excel-heavy home office: Dual monitors or 49″ ultrawide?

I have dual 27” in 4k. 95% of my workday is in excel, so high PPI is critical for me, especially since I view sheets around 80-90% zoom. I game, but it’s minimal. Honestly, I only have a single complaint about my setup - and having to be turned/canted when I game. That’s it. Sharpness to me comes do

Lowkey i think dual monitors are overrated ✌️

We shouldn't confuse dual screens with overall screen real estate. You can do all of this with one big ass Neo G9 57" (32:9) that has exactly the screen space of two 32" 4K monitors. The added bonus: you aren't limited by bezels right in the middle of your view. The only limitation that requires an

They seemed more impressed by that 52” Dell monitor than they should be IMO

if you're genuinely curious, here are my personal reasons why i am excited about this monitor and why i prefer it to the 57" G9. I get why other people might have different preferences. Just explaining my own use case as to why this monitor is so compelling for me: the 32:9 form factor of the G9 is

Anyone use the Kuycon 32" 6K Display?

I understand you need the density Apple envisioned, but I prefer a larger desktop. Also, keep in mind that pixel density doesn't say much about image sharpness. Dell U4025QW has a text clarity rating of 9. Same as the ASUS ProArt Display 6K.
