What non-Apple monitor would you get today?
Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor - U4025QW This is a really nice monitor 5k2k ultra wide that works perfectly with a Mac (M2 MacBook Pro here) and has things like 2.5G Ethernet and can daisy chain another display (I use that to connect my Apple Studio Display)

Best 4k 32 inch monitor for mac mini
I have a DELL Ultra Sharp U4025 QW (40” monitor) hooked up to my loaded Mac Mini M4. The monitor is superior, being 5-6k, 120Hz, and 6 NITS in brightness. The other great part of the monitor is that it has a large built in hub in the bottom of it that allows you to connect many peripherals. Connecti

Is there a monitor with high PPI?
I mean, you left off the obvious option. The Mac Studio Display. But I chose the Dell u4025qw over it and don’t have any regrets. The text is sharp. I needed the built-in kvm, and 27-inches is pretty small these days. However, I bought my u4025qw before the asus 27-in 5k and 32-in 6k hit the market.

Who is currently using a USB-C or Thunderbolt dock for your desk setup? What is your experience with it?
Had the ultra with the p14s gen 2 amd. It worked well except for sometimes I had to unplug the monitors to get them working again. Now I have a p1 gen 8 plugged to a Dell U4025QW monitor and some times I have to remove the thunderbolt cable to get the peripherals working. Same happened with the p14s

What's the best Monitor for MacBook Pro to get right now? Recommendation?
I love my Dell U4025QW. Its predecessor and little brother. It’s surprisingly compatible with macOS too, the display brightness and audio Fn keys work with a little utility, which is unusual for PC monitors.

Why Apple's Thunderbolt cable is better than those from other manufacturers?
My Dell U4025QW monitor came with a tbolt 4 cable that seems to do fine.

They seemed more impressed by that 52” Dell monitor than they should be IMO
if you're genuinely curious, here are my personal reasons why i am excited about this monitor and why i prefer it to the 57" G9. I get why other people might have different preferences. Just explaining my own use case as to why this monitor is so compelling for me: the 32:9 form factor of the G9 is

Apple discontinues Pro Display XDR
I have given up on Apple's monitor offerings. Grabbed a Dell U4025QW 40" ultra wide and absolutely delighted with it. The Apple support for it isn't half bad. Handles display brightness/audio volume keyboard controls, has ok speakers (not as good as a studio displays though).

m18 R1 - You have connected a power adapter to a port that does not accept power
Hi u/Wolfnstine, I understand that option, thank you. I would also need a second USB upstream cable so that I could plug my USB accessories into my Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW). Dooable, but so 1999! Why would Dell produce an advertise the Alienware m18 R1 as a "deskto

Looking for monitor recommendations for mac studio (non-Apple displays)
I just got a Dell U4025QW and I adore it. Depends on you though, 140ppi is fine and perfectly sharp for me and how close I sit at it. Good speakers, thunderbolt hub as well. Edit:saw the price req, its spendy but B&H has had it as low as 1400 (how much I paid)
