Parents iMac M1 broke down - what would you do?

I would buy them an M4 mini and a Dell Ultrasharp U2723QE. The 13 inch M1 MacBooks and M1 iMacs are known for having a few problems and I personally avoid the Apple Silicon iMacs. I would only buy M2 and later 13 inch MacBooks. My wife has an M1 mini and it's been solid. It's hooked up to a Dell Ult

Which monitor would you recommend for my Mac mini? I’d love to hear your experience with your own monitor setup.

honestly the scaling thing is real but easy to dodge if you pick the right monitor. the main trick is sticking with a 4k display at 27 inches - that gives you a nice sharp image at the default scaling. i run the LG 27UP850N on my m4 and it's been perfect. no weird blurry text or lag. some folks also

Best budget-friendly monitor for graphic design in 2026?

If color accuracy is the goal, look for an IPS panel with good factory calibration and wide gamut coverage (sRGB/AdobeRGB). Something like the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE is usually well reviewed for creatives in this range

Will dual 27" monitors via DisplayPort or USBC make a difference with my Mac Mini M4?

i've been down this road with my m4 mini. the short answer is you won't see any difference in clarity or function using usb-c to displayport cables. both carry the same video signal and your m4 handles dual 4k without breaking a sweat. the monitors with only displayport are usually cheaper because t

I have a question for people who own multiple Macs.

I get your point but living the one machine life is a lot better than it used to be. I've gone from MacBook Air and iMac -> MacBook Air (now Pro) and Dell UltraSharp U2723QE. It's very seamless except for having to eject external storage before taking the laptop home.

Which Monitors are really worth buying for Photo Editing in YOUR opinion?

I’ve used the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE for a few years now. It’s a 4k monitor with high brightness and great contrast. I recently got a Calibrite calibrator for it. It’s been working well with LR and PS.

Mac Mini owners, what are the best monitors on the market? What do you use?

Dell Ultrasharps are incredible monitors. I have the Dell Ultrasharp U2723QE 4K. It’s not 5k, but it does ear I need and it’s 100% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3. I needed a good color accurate monitor, I just couldn’t afford an Apple Display.

What display should I get to Mac? (Under 400$)

See if you can wait a paycheck for an extra $80 and buy the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE 27" with IPS Blacks (so better image contrast) on Amazon. Bezels are uniform with no logo on them. I would mount it on a VESA arm for that clean look. But there are plenty of sub-$400 4K displays from LG, ASUS, and D

What non-Apple monitor would you get today?

Dell UltraSharp U2723QE 27-Inch was so good for the Mac that I bought three more for my desktop and my wife’s computers. She said she didn’t need one at first, but she loves it now.
