I also received mine the other day and experienced none of the issues you described. I think it’s great, though I’m not a professional content creator or monitor expert. For normal use, it’s been a huge upgrade over my Dell U2720Q. I’m using it with my Mac Mini M4 Pro, connected via USB-C.

Thanks to this sub just pulled the trigger on the M4 Mac mini. need honest advice on monitor + peripherals before I screw up.
You can stick with the lower DPI for your gaming since there is motion. But for computer work? Headaches, eye strain, eventually get bad vision, need to pay more for better glasses in the long run. Don't know your age, but health is important! A good monitor is MORE important than an any other part

Easily change display color profile through Alfred?
This is with an external display? Is it a known bug for that model? It might be worth looking for a proper fix. I had something similar with a Dell U2720Q forgetting to set HDR mode. The issue is now fixed but I wrote a script to toggle the mode in System Settings. You can use Automator to record a

Dilema about displays for Mac Studio
I have a U2718Q, U2720Q and U2723QE on my M1 Studio next to an iMac Pro. The Dell monitors are okay. But I gravitate to the iMac Pro to doing interactive stuff as it's more comfortable. Amazon has the U2723QE for around $500 right now. They are pretty nice and have a ton of ports if you need to atta

150k NZD budget for laptop refresh
Kia Ora fellow Kiwi. At a quick glance, I would be inclined to go for the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 2-in-1 Gen 4. Crank the memory up to 32G: 16G is for losers and West Island criminals. SODIMM slots are also disappearing across all classes of mobile compute, so it's an upfront investment to future-proof

Looking for monitor recommendations for mac studio (non-Apple displays)
We have two Dell Ultrasharps U2718Q, one U2720Q and one U2723QE. If you want a good 4k monitor with a lot of ports, these fit the bill. I also have an iMac Pro on my desk and it's my favorite monitor to use but like you, I'm not going to shell out for the ASD as the difference between 4k and 5k isn'

Monitor Recommendations Needed Tonight
Dell Ultrasharp U2723QE. $480 at Amazon. 4K 27 inch display with a big port hub. Takes the display signal from the Mac and you get USB-A and USB-C ports. If you're getting a MacBook, it will also charge the MacBook. I have three of this line (U2718Q, U2720Q and U2723QE).

Upgrading My 27” 1080p Monitor.
Definitely go for at least 1440p, if not 4K, especially for a 27” or larger display. Text clarity and workspace are miles better, and macOS handles scaling beautifully at higher resolutions. Your work laptop can still output to the higher-res screen (it’ll just look like 1080p), but your MacBook Air
