Is there a worthwhile upgrade for my 4k/27" monitor?
I'd go 5k. I have Dell U2723QE, U2720Q and U2718Q on my desk next to an iMac Pro. My iMac Pro display is my favorite. Can't tell you why, it just looks better to my eyes.

2k or 4k? Screen recommendation needed for video editing on Mac Mini M4
Just recently I've been asking about this ones for my upcoming MacMini too. They all seem to be awesome and collect fairly good reviews and owners' feedback: – BenQ PD2706U 27" – Dell UltraSharp U2720Q 27" – LG 27UP850-W 27" Im leaning more towards the Benq though but if any has further recs or insig

The first Dell U2725QE & U3225QE videoreviews are coming up.
Dell Ultrasharp has gone down in quality control massively since U2720Q. U2723QE is like 30% defective, U2725QE is probably same if not worse. The particular 4 edge borderless IPS black LG panels used by dell (and HP) in their high contrast IPS monitors has very high IPS glow and frequently suffer f

Please, help me decide on display for Mac Mini, for once
I think you’ve done a lot of good research because those are the monitors I was considering for my home workstation, too. I also working in branding and went with the Dell Ultrasharp U2720Q 27”. So far, I’m very happy with it. I use a monitor arm to attach it to my desk.

Has Apple quietly fixed horrible rendering for non-retina external displays
Maybe i’m just complacent, but it looks fine on my Dell U2720q?

I also received mine the other day and experienced none of the issues you described. I think it’s great, though I’m not a professional content creator or monitor expert. For normal use, it’s been a huge upgrade over my Dell U2720Q. I’m using it with my Mac Mini M4 Pro, connected via USB-C.

M1 Mac & External Monitor/Display - Force Switch from YPBPR to RGB Output
Bro, I gave you a thumb up for this effort to correct the issue. I'm in the exact same setup as yours: MacBook Pro 2021 with "Display P3" color profile in Settings, Dell U2720Q is set to Color Temp. at 6500K. As soon as I switch the USB-C Prioritization to "High Data Speed" mode, Input Color Format

IPS or QD-OLED for Mixed Usage
Don't get the QD-OLED if you're going to work with a lot of text. You will definitely notice the fringing and the clarity itself will be ever so slightly softer than IPS. Especially more if you're worried about burn in. Not saying it will develop but it's definitely annoying having it on your mind 2

Apple Studio Display owners, are you happy with it?
Short answer, YES! For the past five years I'd been using a 27" 4K Dell UltraSharp U2720Q with my MacBook mainly because it fit my needs at the time as was within my budget. I had never seriously considered buying the Studio Display for the sole reason of it costing not much less than a base Mac Stu
