Duality of man
Well if you take one case of mine I got a dell precision 5560, i7 11800H, A2000 dgpu, 32 gb ddr4 ram, 512 gb storage, for 450 USD refurbished I belive it launched at 1000 USD, so it dropped by value by more than 50%, and this laptop is still pretty strong

Recomandare laptopuri
Buna ziua.

Which macbook would be best for university work with rhino and other design programs?
I’m with the rest of the crowd, I’d opt for a windows with shit loads of ram/good GPU - in uni i had a Dell precision 5560 and the only issue I had was the battery life which was pretty poor… but it handled massive(?) 2gb rhino 7 and vray files really well

Laptop recommendations for AutoCAD
My work laptop is a Dell Precision 5560 which I prefer over the Dell Pro 16 (assigned to the CADD users) that is a brick. It’s a solid balance of performance and size. I’m a Bentley PowerUser and I dabble in C3D/Revit. It struggles a tiny bit in BIM and large C3D/ORD files but not enough to be detri

[Rant] Win 10 - End of support for XPS 9560
As other have said, you can likely hack Windows 11 to be usable, for a while. You can also switch to Linux, which typically supports back to the late 1990s Pentium II, which is likely the Laptops are not cars, and 8 years is a very good run. A 2009-vintage E6500 would have been even more on its last

I’m thinking about buying a used Dell Precision 5560 for around $700, and before I make the decision I wanted to hear some opinions from people who’ve owned or used it for a while
I can tell little bit about Precision laptop. Not really about 5560, but for one gen older and one gen newer. Before I start, I'd recommend you to buy with 12th gen CPU. I believe should be very close or same price what you want to pay for 5560. And here will be partly my answer on your question and

Last time I buy from dellrefurbished.com
If you check dell once a week, you'll eventually find decent deals on their Precision line of mobile workstation laptops which often have NVidia RTX gpus. I got a Precision 5560 w i7-11850H cpu, 64GB RAM, 1 TB HD, and NVidia RTX A2000 4GB for $489. Quite a nice and decently powerful laptop.
