I had same issue with third party aftermarket battery. It couldn't start like not enought power from battery. But started up with charger pluged in and worked fine. As a fellow heavy Photoshop and Premiere Pro user, you'll want the heavy-hitting hardware. But just keep in mind, the more powerful the hardware, the shorter the battery life (and vice versa) generally speaking if you plan to go mobile.
