Overall, I would recommend a De'Longhi machine. Eletta explorer if you want cold brew, Magnifica Plus if not, Rivelia if you need interchangeable hoppers, and EVO Next if you are on a budget. KitchenAid is good too. Phillips, Seaco and Gaggia are good machines but dose lower and produce less intense

Even the cheapest De'Longhi machine doses higher, grinds finer, and produces better espresso then any Phillips, Saeco, or Gaggia. All these machines (KitchenAid and Jura too) have about the same durability, but De'Longhi gives you the longest factory warranty at 3 years. You get 2 on purchase and 1

Magnifica Plus. Largest dose of any consumer super auto at 17-18gm when using the dopio plus function, no pressurized faux crema system, modern Delonghi grinder can grind fine enough to achieve 20-25 sec shot times. Bonus.....no non-removable, uncleanable, mold growing bew group that comes standard

OT…Not super fancy, but we highly enjoy our DeLonghi Magnifica Plus. It’s a full auto though, but as time’s passed I actually don’t mind that anymore.

Any espresso machine can do ice drinks. Almost all iced drinks in coffee shops are made with hot espresso brewed over ice. You can get cold frothed milk from a handheld frother. Some machines like the Eletta Explore have an actual low temp extended extraction mode that makes cold brew coffee (not es

Hey, lots of DeLonghi recs here but I thought I’d add in one more that fits your bill. I have the DeLonghi Magnifica Plus and paid just over $1K for it a few months ago. I’m really happy with it! This was an upgrade for me from a semi-automatic Breville, and worth it, IMO, because the DeLonghi has w

DeLonghi Nespresso Citiz Milk to DeLonghi Magnifica Plus. Though we appreciated the simplicity of coffee pods, after 3 years, we simply got tired of the Nespresso coffee pod's bland taste. As a result, we still wanted a simple process but from freshly roasted coffee beans.

Magnifica Plus is a better machine and when dialed in produces the best espresso of any home super auto and is currently $1000. The Eletta Explore at $1700 doses slightly less but still produces espresso better than anything from other manufactures when dialed in. It has more features and can do tru

To put it into perspective. Espresso quality is all about dose and extraction. Your vertuo machine dosed 5-7 gm for espresso pod, 10gm for a double and 17gm for a 7oz coffee. These different pod sizes allowed you to make different drinks. You could even use the 7 oz coffee pod to make a strong espre

Another jura is in your budget if you want to spend that much on a s8 or e8. However, a DeLonghi Magnifica Plus at $1000 will make better coffee and it doses the highest. Kitchen Aid does a good job too. Anything but Phillips, Gaggia, or Saeco. The all use the same low dosing brew group. They are ca
