Is this a good setup for my server?
Since you mentioned it’s mainly for media streaming. Get an intel gpu with integrated graphics over any AMD chip. Quicksync will benefit you so much, AMD (even dGPU’s) are much worse than Intel’s iGPU. If you ever plan on expanding with say immich, the argument would even be enhanced. I would recomm

Is this a good setup for my server?
No, it's still a NAS. What you would be building is a NAS. SAS is a different type of connection capable of higher speeds, 12GB/s whilst SATA is 6GB/s. Now in a NAS, you're not going to notice this, at all. It's simply the protocol. An SAS HBA (Host Bus Adapter) would simply allow the use of cheaper

Low power consumption Mobo + CPU for Unraid?
You won’t do much better than a CWWK N150 board m-itx board like https://cwwk.net/products/cwwk-12th-gen-i3-n305-n100-2-intel-i226-v-2-5g-nas-motherboard-6-sata3-0-6-bay-soft-rout-1-ddr5-4800mhz-firewall-itx-mainboard I’ve got this as my mini lab NAS in my 100W mini lab and it draws 28W doing a pari

Raspberry Pi 5 Rack Server
I have 5xHDDs, 4xSSD, and 1xM.2 connected to this N100 board. I have this USBC card in it and this M.2 SATA adapter in it. I stuffed it all into a Jonsbo N2 (pic), but you could put it in any old pc case. You could swap the USB card for a SATA card and get all of your drives connected. A $163 ITX bo

Upgrading node from 8 to 9 with a virtualized router?
I have a dedicated ethernet port on the proxmox node that I can use to reliably access the node even if the router is down. Still, I'm worried that the upgrade process will be in a situation where the router is down but it still needs internet access. Is this a concern? I just moved OPNsense from a

How do we feel about a N100 for a NAS?
The N100 is a great platform. I've had a few variants and I am a fan of the CWWK CW-NAS-ADLN-K. I think the sacrifice of 2 NICs in preference for a real x4 PCIe slot is a good call. Also being this is a Gen2 board, it moved from a JMB585 to ASM1166 SATA controller with helps dramatically with power

DIY NAS build feedback
Consider swapping that motherboard with this one from CWWK. CWWK and Topton have a close relationship and I believe Topton sells CWWK boards. I got the N100 version of that purple board when it came out because it rearranges the PCIe lanes to be more useful than previous iterations. This video expla

Qotom Q305P Crashes with Quectel EC25-A Mini PCIe
I don't have them around anymore, but they were J-series on N100 CPUs under the Qotom, TopTom and Awow label. I haven't bought CWWK systems in over a year now. I primarily used them to setup pfSense firewalls, or as shop systems in a couple manufacturing clients, and as long as you don't try to add
