2280 MSI Claw 8 AI+ Mod

For those worried about heat from the heatpipes, MSI coated these heat pipes in a black ceramic coating which keeps the heat in the pipes, minimising heat radiation in this area... So its not an issue placing an SSD over the heat pipes. I've run this mod for over 5months now. one of the first to do

MSI Claw 8 AI+ 2280 SSD adaptor!

I use max wattage. Never had an issue. The Crucial T705 never gets over 65 degrees during gameplay (checked with HWinfo) so there is absolutely zero issues. FYI, MSI coats the APU heat pipes with a ceramic black coating, so the heat stays in the pipes, and that is advantageous for the SSD overing ov

MSI Claw 8 AI+ 2280 SSD adaptor!

I was actually surprised with temps. With the Samsung 990 Pro 4tb I was getting 43deg idle and 59 deg gaming. After switching to the Crucial T705 (PCIe 5.0) SSD temps were 45 deg idle and 62 deg while SSD benchmarking. Temps were max temps as shown in HWinfo64. The Samsung 990 Pro with heatsink only

Wait for 9850x3D or buy 9800x3D/9950x3D now? First time building gaming PC

Yeh the Crucial T705 has been great for me, and I've had no cooling issues thanks to my board having that heat plate to dissipate all the heat on it. My case has a giant 220mm fan on the side panel blowing directly at the plate, so I never have issues with it staying cool. Looks like the X870E carbo

Legion Go 2 Vs MSI Claw 8

Zero issues. Some worry about the heat pipes below causing additional heat, but they are painted in ceramic paint, which keeps the heat in the pipes radiating out to the heatsink where the fan does its thing. The Crucial T705 is a hot SSD (read any review) - but in intensive AAA games (a good exampl

2280 adapter or 2230 2tb drive?

Zero heat concerns. Just do it. Plenty of other threads on this topic with the same answers. I was one of the first to run the 2280 adaptor, and also using a Crucial T705 Gen5 4tb SSD. 8 months with this configuration now and no issues at all. Max temps I've seen is 65deg, which is way below the dri
