I used to swear by the Crucial MX500 sata ssds but honestly haven't bought anything from the brand in years.

Being doing a lot of research for this. Apparently the best ones are Samsung 870 EVO and WD BlueSA510 and Crucial BX500. A lot of stuff regarding D-Ram for random writing/reading. I'll go for Samsung, it's the most expensive one but it's also the one that has less negative comments (dying all the su

For me, a handful of brands keep paying off. Anker PowerCore 20100 from Amazon for power banks (still going strong after 3 years), TP-Link Archer A7 from Amazon/Walmart for routers (cheap and stable), Crucial MX500 1TB SSD from Newegg for storage (zero issues), and Soundcore Life P2 earbuds I grabbe

Modern NVMe drives have a much more mature DRAM-less implementation than SATA ones do, although to see that difference you'd need to compare the SATA SSD to an NVMe one with a host memory buffer (HMB), such as the Samsung 990 Evo. DRAM-less SATA SSDs are known for absolutely tanking their speeds whe

In my opinion: Samsung consumer NVMe drives have been acting weird the last few years, random read‑only mode, firmware bugs, and no updates until it’s too late. If you want something that doesn’t pull that stunt, go with Crucial MX500 for SATA or Crucial P3/P5 Plus for NVMe. They’re boring, reliable
