Best air purifier in India (2025) specifically for asthma and dust allergies?

You might want to check out this helpful guide first: Best air purifiers in India 2025. It explains CADR, room sizes, filter costs, and what actually works here in India. Key things to look at: True HEPA H13 or H14 is non-negotiable for PM2.5 and pollen. CADR matters more than brand hype, try to get

Don't forget to replace your filters!

A HEPA should last longer than 3-6 months, especially with a pre-filter. I don't really care about the carbon pellets, they're probably saturated by the time you install it or a few weeks after. I replace my coway airmega 400 filters every 10-12 months.

Rabbit air vs blue air vs Coway

You would probably be fine with some corsi Rosenthal boxes...as rabbit air is better for smoke/odors/VOCs I think.. They don't move much air. Therefore a 90 dollar Levoit will probably filter more air than a rabbit air (which is great though if you have issues with odors/smoke/VOCs etc.) So the Cowa

Anyone wanna talk me out of coway 400

Do you know the dimensions of the basement? A room's length x width x height are used to size purifiers. The largest room size the Coway Airmega 400 should be 492 sq. ft. with an 8 ft. ceiling. This is based on the AHAM 2/3 rule and the Airmega 400's Smoke CADR of 328 CFM running on the highest airf

Overwhelmed!!!

I’ve spent countless hours researching air purifiers due to a complicated set of health issues, so I hope I can offer some useful insight. I’ve owned four different models and have learned quite a bit through first-hand experience. One thing I can’t stress enough is the importance of a pre-filter. I

Is this overkill to buy for a small appartment?

I personally don’t feel comfortable using Coway units because of their antimicrobial coatings. I ran a Airmega 400 and 300 for a long time before I found out about the coatings. Someone posted the patent that lists the coating chemicals, and they don’t seem great. It might be lack of understanding o

Dyson Big + Quiet or Similar for Smoke

If you need to filter particulates (e.g., smoke particles) and smoke gases/vapors/odors/VOCs, you really need two types of air purifier. Most common purifier brands have very little activated carbon or other sorbent media by weight. They are designed to capture particulates quickly. You need many po

HEPA air purifier

I have two of them, from the brand Coway. A small one for my bedroom (Airmega 100) and a big one for my living room (Airmega 400). They are from the Coway brand. I bought them after a lot of research, it's not easy to benchmark. I use them for Covid precautions, but I also find that I have significa

Difference between these?

I have a coway airmega 400 and it's amazing. I've had it for almost 9 years now. I vacuum the pre filters monthly, wash them quarterly and replace the hepa filters about every 18 months. I first got this because I moved into a new house, worked in the basement which was unfinished. Dust everywhere.

Air Purifier for Nursery ?

It's difficult to buy just one unit that's great at removing particulates (e.g., pollen, dander, soot, smoke particles, small dust particles, etc.) and gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. Most particulates purifiers have very little activated carbon or sorbent media by weight. Oppositely, heavyweight sorbent m
