Do you have any tips/tricks for focus?
I have a Canon EOS R7 18-150mm lens kit.
I for the life of me can’t figure out the auto focus. I switched my focus from the shoot button to an AF button on the front, which is super easy to use. It also has helped tremendously, but I still have focus issues.
On another note, I’m having trouble

My cat Beyonce said: “no more photos please”
Pictures taken with canon eos r7 and 7 artisans 7.5. They are a bit out of focus because the lense is manual and the cat didn’t stop moving

Advice on upgrade path; stick with APS-c, or go full frame?
I’ve used both combos. Get the Z8 and don’t look back. The Canon 150-500mm is sharper and lighter, but the sharpness difference is a non issue. My experience with the R7 is that while it’s capable, it has some weird autofocus quirks and performs awkwardly at times. The Nikon Z8 has a much better kee

Canon user to Lumix S9
I just bought an S9 to supplement my Canon R7, and while I haven’t done much testing yet I can say the ergonomics are awful (as you’d expect), the build quality lacking (especially the buttons and dials), and the thing isn’t that compact or light (feels like a brick), the autofocus is worse (though

Photographs have gone soft (help please!)
Hello all,
I'm wondering if anyone could help me identify what might have happened to my camera in just a week.
I have been using a Canon EOS R7 with a converter to use the Sigma C 150-600, and in the past 14 days or so I have gone from taking photos like 1 and 2, to photos like 3 and 4. The focus

Canon EOS R7 won’t focus on multiple subjects
So I have the EOS R7 and I use it mostly in auto mode (I’m not a pro photographer). I have its setting for eye detection turned on. It works well for single portraits. However, if I try and take a picture of two or more people, it frequently seems to struggle to figure out what the subject of my pic

Digital Camera Recs for Indoor Sports???
Full frame bodies will do better in low light but will be more expensive with more expensive and bigger lenses. There are different ways to compare FF and crop sensor cameras. When it comes to light gathering ability, a FF camera with an f/4 lens is just as capable as an APS-C camera with an f/2.8 l

Invest in better dslr lenses or a cheaper full frame mirrorless and lenses?
If your biggest want is the e-shutter and its high frame rate, keep an eye out for readout time and rolling shutter. In Canon world, only the R1, R3 and R5ii have sensors fast enough to be similarly as good as a mechanical shutter. All others are 3-4x slower, and may have rolling shutter issues if y

Dog sport photography help
I bought an canon EOS R7 and a RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens to take photos of my dogs when they do sports… really bummed out from the photos taken today, most were blurry or focusing on the background instead of the dog. Does anyone have a tutorial or can recommend settings to use?

Can’t get sharp pictures on Canon R7 + RF 100-400
IMO the bigger issue is that the sensor readout speeds on Canon APSC suck, so you need higher end lenses to compensate somewhat for the bad AF/slow readout speeds. Try switching to EFCS and see if it helps. IIRC even when tested by professional wildlife photographers who obviously are more skilled a
