Saturday at McCarren ft. Cherry Blossoms

People usually DM and ask me, so I started including it. The R6ii is hardly "fancy" it's a standard full frame mirrorless at this point, it's 4 years old. I'd argue this is on the lower end of full frame at this point for the canon line vs the R5 / R3 / R1. The lens was shared because it's an old M4

Is the Z5ii really that good, or is it just all hype?

It's really that good. I don't own it, but I do own a Z6 III and a Zf and I've been following the Z5 II. Nikon took the tech in the Zf and stuck it in a modern body with a few tweaks here and there (like dual SD card slots rather than SD + mSD). But same sensor, same processor, same autofocus, same

Canon user to Lumix S9

My wife went from being a Canon 15+ year user, got an S9 for an every day cam last year, really loved it and decided the cost of upgrading to RF glass (She had a R6 & R6II for wedding work) was way too much and now she's switched to a S1Rii and has upgraded her lenses for about half the cost. Do you

Slowly becoming frustrated with the lack of innovation from Pentax

I got frustrated with the K1's auto focus performance when shooting live music in low light venues and decided to look for an alternative. I looked at the mid range mirrorless options from Canon, Nikon and Sony e.g R6ii, R8, Z5ii, A7iv. None of them have close to the K1's ergonomics or feature set.

Dual system considerations (R6ii + S5ii) on a sports & wildlife / landscape & astro split

You maintain too many systems which will end up you spreading yourself too thin On Canon both 100-500 and 200-800 work great on R6ii. Canon tends to suck up your soul buying lenses On lumix, if you wanted one go straight for S1Rii: there are quite a few good lenses for any application there But if y

200-800 USD Budget, Confused, Any Begginer Device For Me?

I'd say what you want is a new mid-range FF, something like a used R8 or similar (I don't know much about Sony or Nikon). Older FF often have much worse low-light capabilities, not to speak of AF and video specs. On the Canon side there's the R6 Mk I or R8, while the R6 Mk II is still ~1600 or so, b
