Just hello

Hi all. For some time now I like to take "artistic" photos with my mobile. Someone from my family boigh canon eos r100 recently. I habe unlimited Access to it and although I know it's a cheap, not fancy camera I am eager to try it in a city. I thought it would be nice to find a community where I can...

10/18/2024 Park Photos

First time Annual Pass (Magic Key) holder at Disneyland. I've been going a few times a month since I got my pass in April 2024.

I got a sweet Canon EOS R100 camera (my first ever digital camera!!!) as a birthday present and have been doing test shots for a couple weeks at home. I finally decided t...

Torn between these two options. 1st camera purchase. Just want it to be a hobby. Pics of my cats and kids and go to the park, nature pics? Help

Out of the two, the r100 but I’d recommend buying it through Canon’s refurbished site for $399 currently (and cheaper sometimes). The refurbished cameras come with the same warranty as new, look brand new (I have 3 camera bodies and a bunch of lenses and they all look brand new) with the only differ...

Go with the R100. Canon isn’t producing lenses for the EF mount anymore, so, if you go with the modern lens mount system and ever decide to get more serious that camera will do you just fine. I have one as a walk around camera. If all you are looking to do is take shots, that camera is a plucky star...

Update the lens or camera

The R100 lacking animal eye detect is probably limiting your keeper rate, plus the small buffer for RAW photos will be limiting if you ever start shooting RAW. That said if you are happy with the AF performance and keeper rate longer lenses are a good option. The issue is there are not that many lon...

Got my first camera today! The Canon EOS R100. I’m loving this thing already! Here are some pictures I’ve taken with it.

Since yesterday, I’ve enjoyed taking many pictures and videos with this thing! It’s not a problem for me having no flip screen. Here are some pictures I took while my fingers were near frozen!

My first attempt at astrophotography - a weird, but cool image of the waxing crescent moon today 8/7/24

Hi all, I recently got a fairly cheap setup to take pics of the Moon and some other stuff and finally got a chance to give it a go.

This was taken at about 25 minutes before sunset today on an 11% waxing crescent Moon. I stacked 10 images at 1/4000, ISO 6400, that I took with a Canon EOS-R100 mirro...

The moon

I was messing around with a friends Canon EOS R100 and their 400mm lens and captured this mid-day. Still one of my favorite moon pics taken to date.

Was sind das für Pixel?

Hallo zusammen,

Which camera should I buy?

Hello!! I'm turning 15 this month, and I'm getting a camera for my birthday. I want a camera with a focus on photography, but with decent filming capabilities. Given that, should I get a new Canon EOS R100 or a refurbished Canon EOS 250D (Rebel SL3)? I'm leaning more towards the 250D.

Also, what we...
