I agree with all of that except I prefer an uninsulated glass carafe on a hot plate rather than an insulated carafe (heresy, I know). Luckily for me Breville offers a variant of their Precision Brewer with that one difference, so that's what I have.

I have been using a breville/Sage precision brewer for about 4 years now. To me its the best there is in that price range. Thermal carafe. Ill be buying them as long as they make them.

This was our pre-baby gift to ourselves and it’s so good! We have the Breville precision brewer, can set it on a timer and it has an insulated carafe to keep it warm if you can’t get to it.
