What are your experiences with longevity with higher end Oracle machines?

Have a 6 year old Oracle Touch that started to pop our GFCI outlet, likely due to leak. Replaced the orings and steam probes, which did not fix the issue. Seems to be a problem with the steam broiler. Loved the machine so much we replaced it with an Oracle Jet....little bit of a side grade IMO, but

Breville Oracle Jet

On the fence too. My Oracle Touch is having issues with the leaky boiler and O ring, tamping and dosing very erratic after having it for 7 years. Need another machine but will not get the touch again. Am looking at the Jet as well because many parts from the touch will fit the Jet but am very hesita

Lelit Bianca v3

I came from a Breville Oracle Touch which was semi automatic. I had it for years! While it served me really well and I truly enjoyed it, it always frustrated me the inconsistent results. The hardest part is truly the puck prep, for someone who comes from automated grinding, dispensing and tamping. I

My flabbers are gasted

I dumped two Breville machines, an Oracle Touch (!), and a Barista Express on some dude for $300 for the pair. I'm sure both machines worked, one better than the other, but I was SOOOOOO done with inconsistent grinds and pulls I was getting that after 6 years with the brand I just wanted them ALL GO

Just got a Moccamaster KGBV - looking for a grinder recommendation

I use the moccamaster grinder and it’s been awesome. The reviews about the grinds being messy is blown out of proportion. It’s nothing crazy, my Breville oracle touch makes more grind messes than the moccamaster grinder lol so…. I am very happy with it and the consistency of grinds and quality

I was about to buy a Breville Barista Touch Impress, but then read about them here.

It’s may be an old thread, but Breville machines are a very special piece of hot garbage. They are cheap plastic machines that are dressed up in a tuxedo. Crack one open, and you’ll see that it’s all cheap plastic garbage…grinder included. I was horrified when I was gifted a 3k Oracle touch because

Best at home coffee machine recommendations

Yup I would save to buy a Jura too. We had an oracle touch - made fab great coffee WHEN it worked but it was in the repair shop a lot (annually) despite caring for it and repairs were being quoted at $700!!! The grinder on the Breville was so damn noisy too. The Jura is far quieter and faster to hea

Bezzera Duo De - First Impressions

i just bought the Duo DE today. I currently have a Breville Oracle Touch and I'm ready for something without a built-in grinder - too much variability shot-to-shot. Looking forward to hearing more about your experience with your machine
