Will a Fellow Espresso 1 + Niche Zero get me where I want to go? [$2500]
I moved from Breville Barista Pro to ES1 and the steam wand performs so much better on the ES1. It's the thing I noticed first

Bought the 701/Pro but yet to unbox - not sure if I’ve made the right choice
I’ve had mine since Christmas and I’m obsessed with it. No prior experience with espresso and I make an iced or hot latte nearly every day, guests are constantly asking for me to make them too lol. I’ve made rich, classic, over ice (iced coffee) too and really enjoy them all. I do like the cold brew

Question about achieving "mico-foam?"
I think it's hard to steam milk on the breville machines bc the steam wand is so short. Admittedly it did take me awhile to figure out how to get the right angle and placement of the tip in order to make great microfoam on my BBP. I use a bit smaller jug (12oz apexstone). What milk are you using? Wh

Upgraded my Micra
Makes sense. Do you use the shot by weight function on the Mini? Im wondering if its worth the extra cost of the paired scale. For me, Im looking for a small device that will give me more consistent shots and steamed milk texture than my current breville barista pro, which is like fighting an uphill

Bambino side-grade [$400]
There's really not a lot of consistency to be found in the temperature below PID machines. I would just be patient and spend the money on a worthwhile upgrade at the right time. I had a Breville Barista Pro for years until I saved enough for an Elizabeth, which was a dramatic upgrade that added a se

Breville / Sage to Micra - first thoughts
Does the longer heat up time bother you? I’m really tempted to switch from Breville Barista Pro to Meraki or LM Micra or Mini but the price tag seems insane for just better milk if I’m already happy with my shots. I pretty much just drink dark roast and milk based drinks so the espresso has been fin

Barista Pro steam wand dripping during use
I have the exact same issue with my BBP. It's called "wet steam". Even after a rigorous descale, it still continues. I'm starting to believe that it's simply a side effect of the thermoblock heating mechanism that is used in some breville machines rather than a traditional boiler.

Turin Legato V2 or Bambino [$500-$800]
Ended up with the bambino plus paired with the DF54 grinder. I absolutely love it. I'm not an expert on the inner workings of the pump, but paired with the DF54 I can dial in consistent, 18g in 36 g out, 30 second shots that taste great. I've got friends who have the Turin Legato and different Brevi

Under-extracted or just acidic coffee? [Breville Barista Express]
All too many people say "buy different equipment" but I genuinely found upgrading the grinder to be the biggest improvement in consistently avoiding the consistently "sour" shots with my Breville Barista Pro. I don't think I managed to pull more than a few shots that tasted good on their own during
