The Daily Check-In for Saturday, July 4th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking!
SAN pellegrino are awesome, various light ones, I like sparkling water with fresh fruit juiced in… summery version is sometimes tonic water with fresh lime 🍋🟩… or G&T without the T as we call it. 😂 I sometimes get crazy with tea but recently I bought a Breville Barista Impress and I’ve been making oa

Brewing Setup under 1.5 Lacs
My goto beans is Blue Tokai French Roast. I have ended up investing in portable coffee machine and grinder for travel too. The machine I have is "Breville/Sage The Barista Express Impress Espresso Machine (SES876)". I have been using it every single day for about 1.5 years. Makes consistent espresso

Do that many people really have almost 7k to spend on a machine?
Of the numerous multi (5+) million dollar homes I see on the West Coast, if there is a Machine in the Kitchen,They're rocking a Breville Barista Express Impress. Which with the addition of another grinder is enough for a Vast majority of people. You're only getting a 7k setup if it's your absolute h

Breville / Sage to Micra - first thoughts
Sold my Breville (Sage) Barista Express Impress during the holiday season after caring for it for 2 years. Agree the inconsistency and lack of steam power was annoying. Great starter machine, though. I debated long and hard on going with single dose vs. hopper grinder. Finally went with a Mazzer Phi

Between Breville Barista Express, Touch, or Pro Black Friday 2025 deals, which model is worth it
I ended up getting the Touch when comparing the Touch with the Touch Impress, Express, Express Impress, and Pro. here’s my reasoning: Auto milk frothing: This has been really helpful because as a person who has never brewed my own coffee other than k-cups, I could just focus on learning how to dial

Those of you who have an espresso machine at home - how/why did you end up getting one? How is your experience and advice to some one looking to?
The reason I got a coffee machine at home is very simple. I wanted good coffee at home. I like taste consistency. My goto beans is Blue Tokai French Roast. I have ended up investing in portable coffee machine and grinder for travel too. The machine I have is "Breville/Sage The Barista Express Impres

What was your next upgrade after the breville bambino?
I know this is sacrilege but I upgraded to the Breville Barista Express Impress. I like it a lot because it makes it easy for me to dial in my grind fineness and visualize its correlation to pressure with the pressure gage. The streaming wand is great and a little gentler than the one with the Bambi

If you want the simplest solution to far better coffee than a pod machine checkout the Breville Barista Express Impress. Touch/Express Impress with great discounts vs. Bambino Plus/Touch Impress with good discounts [CAD $2000]
Update: For future readers, here’s what I decided on and my thoughts so far. I ended up getting a Touch for a few reasons: Auto milk frothing: This has been really helpful because as a person who has never brewed my own coffee other than k-cups, I could just focus on learning how to dial in the expr

Newbie here [<$1000 budget]
Given your needs as a busy mom who loves milk-based drinks and wants a mix of quick convenience and customization without exceeding $1,000, the Breville Barista Touch is my top recommendation. Its touchscreen presets and automatic milk frothing make it a lifesaver for rushed mornings, delivering caf
