What would a solarpunk smartphone with today's tech be like?
This is more of an aesthetics & functionality answer than a best-business-practices one (though I would also like to see more companies with Fairphone-esc business practices of course), but I've been really fixated on this same question lately and this is the answer I've been gravitating toward: Har

Anyone else kinda disappointed by the Boox “launch”?
I wanted an 8-inch monochrome device without BSR, 8GBs RAM, and 128GB ROM :c I don't understand the reasoning behind giving 8GB RAM to a 6-inch device (Palma 2 Pro) but that's just me

my one page review of writing on the Go 10.3 Gen II
Well, I wish they implemented this on Palma 2 Pro. It might become a very good opponent to the RMPPM with this. Honestly, I didn't even consider buying it, but after each reviews I see, I keen to buy it. If I had seen this device earlier this year, I may not have even bought the Kindle Scribe 2025 (

More ram in upcoming models?
there's only one device from Boox with 8GB RAM, and it is ironically the Palma 2 Pro which is also their smallest. imo they should standardize on 8GB but this is a tricky market to make that argument.

Boox Palma 2 Pro or HiBreak Pro Color
They both are nice devices but I did want to say that the palma 2 pro did have phone/sms support added with a update but it was very unstable so I returned mine. The data seemed to work fine and if you want a free data plan then I would suggest signing up for a helium free plan which gives free 3gb

Looking for imaginary note-taking device
If a device is pocketable, then it is too small to read PDFs on it. The closest compromise is an 8" device like the Viwoods Mini or the Supernote Nomad. You can read/annotate PDFs and write on them, and they will fit in a coat pocket. A little cramped, though. The only truly pocketable e-ink devices

Highlighting Word Docs and PowerPoints - Note Air 5C
works fine on my Palma 2 Pro which tells me it would work fine on the NA5C. when you draw with the pen you'll get some lag. (no e-ink device will do this without lag.)

Seamlessly scrolling Reddit?
These devices have really fast refresh speeds that makes scrolling very close to normal screens:- Bigme Hibreak Pro, Plus and their S model- Viwoods Reader- Boox Palma 2, 2 Pro, P6- Durobo Krono (im using this currently) its basically a non color stripped down version of the palma 2 pro that imo loo

Contemplating a Palma Pro
I just got a palma 2 pro the other day actually. I'm impressed with how responsive the touch screen is compared to other eink devices I've had. It's still slightly clunky compared to a modern smartphone, but I'm able to use pretty much any app I want on it and more importantly, type at full speed on

Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection
Writing experience on the Go 7, Go Color 7 was awful IMO. Laggy, noisy, missed strokes etc. It was when Boox first introduced their InkSense Active Pen - having said that I'm currently testing the latest version of InkSense on the new gen go 10.3 and it seems to have been improved somewhat. I do rem
