Colour E-Reader Screen Quality

It’s really, really subjective. Some people love theirs, some people can’t get used to it no matter how much they try. It’s not really about “quality” but the technology and having an extra layer (colour filter array) in front of the eInk layer, which makes it objectively darker/greyer/dimmer in its

PaperOS: a native Linux E Ink OS now running on BOOX hardware — reMarkable-style focus without Android

Interest check Would you use a focused, non-Android operating system on your BOOX? Which model do you own? Yes, extreme interest! I own a Boox Go 10.3 and a Boox Go 6 Gen II Boox Go 10.3 is a note taking device and I don't really need all of the unstable crap from Boox software. Wish it would do it'

BOOX Go 6 Gen 2 or Go Color 7 Gen 1?

This link might be helpful to see the difference specs wise: https://comparisontabl.es/e-readers/?product1=Boox+Go+Color+7&product2=Boox+Go+6+(Gen+II)#sbs Technically, the Go Color 7 is "better". If it helps any, I decided to measure the pocket in my purse to determine what ereaders I'm able to carr

eReader compatible with Bookshop.org

I believe all Boox 6-7’’ devices have a frontlight (which you can turn off or adjust as wanted, of course). FWIW, Boox Page is an older model - the current one that succeeded it last year is the Boox Go 7. There’s also the new Boox Go 6 Gen II if you want smaller and without buttons, but the Go 7 is

Advice… where to begin?

I’m trying to break free from the amazon eco system. I have a kindle paperwhite 3 (2015) and I want to buy a new ereader in the near future. I narrowed it down to three devices: Kobo Clara BW, Pocketbook Era Lite and the Boox Go 7 BW. The new Boox Go 6 (Gen II) should be released soon. All of these

Boox Go 6 gen 2 vs Kindle?

My favorite is still the Kindle Basic. I highly recommend it if you just need something to read with, because the screen quality is still unmatched. It’s the most paper like screen that I’ve tried even when compared with the Kindle PPW. Though do note that I don’t use warm light at all, so if you ne

Looking for an e-ink reader/tablet to do research

The Boox Go 6 Gen II is absolutely NOT suited for PDFs. 6 inches is far too small to read PDFs on, much less annotate or take good notes on. The OP needs 10-13 inch screen size for that.

HELP! Boox Go 6 Gen II

Thank you for sharing! I went to XHS and saw many feedback on the mottled screen issues on Boox Go 6 Gen II! Sadly, the distributor here doesn’t allow return/refund or exchanges because Boox deem this as “normal” 😭
