Colour E-Reader Screen Quality
It’s really, really subjective. Some people love theirs, some people can’t get used to it no matter how much they try. It’s not really about “quality” but the technology and having an extra layer (colour filter array) in front of the eInk layer, which makes it objectively darker/greyer/dimmer in its

am i looking for a unicorn?
Boox Go 6 Gen II is probably the current best available / budget-friendly option for this. At least some of the phone form factor Android devices also allow you to take notes (I have no personal interest in note-taking or phone form factor devices so I’ve not looked into it in too much detail, tbf),

BOOX Go 6 Gen 2 or Go Color 7 Gen 1?
I'd go with G6G2 over the GC7G1. I have the Boox go color 7 gen 2, and being able to add a stylus is really nice. With what you're wanting to do I'd say the Gen 2 of the 6 fits your needs. The black and white ereaders have crisper text, and if you're not needing color I'd opt for that. Here's a comp

Best e-readers for broad app capability?
I’ve looked at the Boox ereaders and I think Bigme and Pocketbook? Most PocketBooks (anything under 10’’) are not Android, just so you know - they do allow more file formats (including Adobe DRM and Readium LCP protected) and integrate with more library systems especially in Europe (Libby but also e

Is the Note Air 5 C a better choice than a Kindle Scribe for grad school?
overwhelmingly, yes. the Kindle Scribe is really only useful for a particular kind of person who is still primarily concerned only with reading in the Amazon ecosystem. it is also wildly overpriced for what it does. for grad students I would recommend either the Supernote Manta, Note Air5 C, Go 10.3

First e-reader: Kobo vs Kindle?
Boox Go 6 Gen II. I’m not sure it has device-wide dark mode though. Apps certainly provide it while reading. If you want 6’’ specifically, and warm light, AND Kindle Unlimited, there’s just nothing other than Android devices, even if it seems like overkill. Maybe see if you can find a previous gener

BOOX Go 6 Gen 2 or Go Color 7 Gen 1?
I bought a bnew BOOX Go 6 Gen II and a second hand Go Color 7 Gen II the same weekend, i put the GC7 II up for sale 2 weeks later. I really liked seeing the colored covers too but I also liked my text to be really black and I can't get that on color eink I also liked reading on the Go 6 (both 1st an

Need E-reader recommendations!!
the only ones that fit your description are the Boox Go 6 Gen II and the Bigme B6. I am very reluctant to recommend Bigme to anyone because of the poor quality of their software engineering, and the Go 6 II has excellent handwriting support in addition to being cheap and having a clear, nearly ghost

Is a Boox Palma 2 worth it?
I just purchased the BOOX Go 6 (Gen II) on best buy that was just released & I was debating between this & Palma 2. Decided to go with the Go 6 (Gen II) because I couldn't justify that higher priced for the palma just for reading. BUTTT everyone comfort & enjoyment is different so fix the device up.
