Boox Go 6 Gen II is probably the current best available / budget-friendly option for this. At least some of the phone form factor Android devices also allow you to take notes (I have no personal interest in note-taking or phone form factor devices so I’ve not looked into it in too much detail, tbf),

the only ones that fit your description are the Boox Go 6 Gen II and the Bigme B6. I am very reluctant to recommend Bigme to anyone because of the poor quality of their software engineering, and the Go 6 II has excellent handwriting support in addition to being cheap and having a clear, nearly ghost

Is a Boox Palma 2 worth it?
I just purchased the BOOX Go 6 (Gen II) on best buy that was just released & I was debating between this & Palma 2. Decided to go with the Go 6 (Gen II) because I couldn't justify that higher priced for the palma just for reading. BUTTT everyone comfort & enjoyment is different so fix the device up.

A Newcomer to the E-reader World
no color on the Boox Go 6 Gen II but it hits every one of your other requests. also under $200. $230ish if you find a good USI pen like the Maxeye.

Need help with a choice.
I'm now at a point where I'm recommending the Go 6 Gen II over the Go Color 7 II or the Go 7 because the handwriting support is MUCH better than on either of those other devices, despite the fact that they are both faster, have more RAM and have a more recent (13) version of Android than the Go 6 (1
