reMarkable Paper Pure | Launch event
This device seems like an extension of their failed enterprise strategy—designed for corporate IT procurement, which won’t be as sensitive to a quality of life difference like this. Tough to see the consumer who’d go for it. On a tight budget, a refurb Manta, Scribe on sale or with 20% trade-in disc

Cheap, large, android ereader recs pls 🥹
I think the issue is that the 10+ inch Android devices - since the screen itself makes them quite expensive already - is that they’re largely intended to be multi-functional tablet devices and e-notebooks. So they’ll have all the bells and whistles, as they’re going to be expensive either way. I’m g

Looking for e-reader with PDF readability
Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi? A bit above your budget though. I assume you’d want to use the frontlight occasionally, otherwise something like the original Boox Go 10.3. With the Libby support requirement, something that supports Android seems like a necessity anyway, ruling out ReMarkable. Several of t

Onyx Boox Go 10.3 Lumi 2: too fragile? Looking for a device that lasts 7–8 years
What is obsolete? All you need is something that reads PDFs, mobis, basic word processing docs and takes simple notes. The Viwoods VI Paper and Onyx Boox Go 10.3 do both very well right now. Nothing even needs to be updated Unless you need a battery replacement, these devices can last indefinitely.

Looking for recommendations: Best 10-inch e-reader?
The brand new Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi sounds excellent (I have my eye on it - have some gift cards in a local store I need to use at some point, so I’m waiting for it to become available here). It’s around $450 though I believe. If you want colour … I have no idea what’s good out there. Boox Note A

Best eReader for note taking and highlighting combined with being able to read it in the full sun. UK. Particular Feature Wishlist Within
As I said, I don’t really know anything about note-taking - it’s not something that has any value for me, so it’s never something I pay attention to when looking at reviews, heh. Re: the PocketBook Inkpad One - the primary drawbacks that I know of are that the screen is 227 PPI instead of 300 PPI th

What is best for my first ereader
Ideally the Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi if you can afford it. The larger screen makes manga a lot more comfortable to read. Otherwise, the Boox Go 7 is basically the same, but smaller and cheaper. I wouldn't go below 7" for manga. And yes, go for a BW e-reader if you're mainly reading manga.
