Budget irrelevant, larger sized screen with lights + best display in 2026?

Boox Go 10.3 Lumi? It’s an Android tablet but one more suitable for reading and note-taking than anything else people usually use tablets for. Otherwise, if you don’t need to use any apps (for library, subscription service etc), then anything large enough and with a BW screen. Kobo Sage sounds good,

Teacher looking for advice on choosing a digital notebook (Kindle Scribe vs reMarkable Pro vs Onyx Boox Go 10.3 II)

A BOOX tablet, although Android just like your current tablet, won't do the same things your current Android tablet does. E-ink display technology is simply too slow. Android e-ink tablets are great as e-readers, but quite awful as generic Android tablets. However, sharing the Android DNA means you

What's the best E-reader for reading EPUB format books?

Am currently using a Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi and it reads books in epub format flawlessly. The only thing I have to do is transfer them on the device (which can be as simple as using a UBC-C cable) and that's it. Just works. No issues.

Is BOOX actually better than an iPad for note-taking and reading, or not worth it if you already have a tablet?

If you can afford to, get the Boox Go 10.3 Lumi for reading and then see if the note-taking is something you’re also comfortable with. And an iPad in addition then if you feel the need to. If budget is tight, get a smaller e-reader (whether a Kobo Clara BW, PocketBook, Boox Go 7 BW, maybe even somet

Onyx Boox Go 10.3 Lumi 2: too fragile? Looking for a device that lasts 7–8 years

What is obsolete? All you need is something that reads PDFs, mobis, basic word processing docs and takes simple notes. The Viwoods VI Paper and Onyx Boox Go 10.3 do both very well right now. Nothing even needs to be updated Unless you need a battery replacement, these devices can last indefinitely.

Best way to legally buy epubs?

Yes, I guess this is why Amazon allows “personal documents” - as long as someone has a Kindle, they may well also eventually buy ebooks from Amazon or use Kindle Unlimited (unless they live somewhere, like me, where it’s not available of course). And also since all other brands allow sideloading boo

What is best for my first ereader

Ideally the Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi if you can afford it. The larger screen makes manga a lot more comfortable to read. Otherwise, the Boox Go 7 is basically the same, but smaller and cheaper. I wouldn't go below 7" for manga. And yes, go for a BW e-reader if you're mainly reading manga.

Teacher looking for advice on choosing a digital notebook (Kindle Scribe vs reMarkable Pro vs Onyx Boox Go 10.3 II)

I suggested an E Ink Android device (Boox Go 10.3 Lumi). With this device, you can perform everything you need and read your Kindle books using the Kindle app. With a so-called “dedicated” device, you won't get very far because you'll always be missing something you needs; for example, you won't be

I'm looking for an e-ink partner in crime, please help!

I don’t know if they can do all the things you want (you might ask in r/Onyx_Boox as there are some people who have received theirs) but maybe the new Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi? Or another of the Boox 10’’ devices - the Note Air 5C if you don’t mind colour. There are other e-notebooks around (Superno
