Anyone using air purifier here?

I’ve been using a Blueair 311i Max for about a year now. My indoor AQI used to be around 45 to 60 on normal days and sometimes higher when cooking. On auto mode it usually drops below 10 in 15 to 20 minutes. It’s honestly a relief to see the sensor light turn from orange to blue. When I was first lo

Top 10 Best Air Purifier for Pets in 2026

The Pet "MVP": Levoit Vital 200S This is the most recommended unit on Reddit right now. Unlike circular purifiers, it has a U-shaped intake that doesn't get "hairballs" stuck in the grill. Best for: Everyday pet hair and dander. The Secret: The pre-filter is a sturdy, washable mesh you can pop off a

Good air purifiers for smoke at the moment - What actually works?

If you’re staying in the $300–$600 range, I’d probably look at the Winix 5500-2 or the Blueair 311i Max. They both have HEPA + carbon, and the carbon actually makes a noticeable difference for cooking smells

Costco: Winix C909 or Blueair 311i+?

Well the actived carbon filter does help a tiny tiny bit with odor, but not much since you need pounds of actived carbon to actually see a difference, it’s much better to open a window/door and use a fan, aka ventilation for odor. So this shouldn’t be a deciding factor, I’d say ur good regarding thi

Costco: Winix C909 or Blueair 311i+?

I'm unsure about ion concentrations the Blueair produces vs. Winix, so you may or may not notice a difference. For Blueair and Winix, the activated carbon angle is moot. These brands (and most other common consumer-grade purifiers) have far too little activated carbon or other sorbent media by weigh

Purchase Assistance Request

Purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust, as it's large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM10, PM2.5, and PM0.1. See the sticky post at the top of the subreddit and our FAQs wiki page entries about dust: I need an air purifier for dust. What should I buy? Why is there visible

Mold allergy

I should probably mention I also have a BlueAir 211+ in the living room (open to the kitchen and dining nook). It does take more than one of these to cover an apartment, so I have the larger BlueAir in the living room and the Coway in the bedroom. The BlueAir 211+ and the newer 211i/311i Max are als
