Are Android e-readers actually too distracting?
I have a Bigme B6 and honestly I don’t think they are distracting at all, I have my e-reader apps and that’s it, for the Bigme b6 I also followed some debloating tips to help remove some of the extra stuff. Even though it’s android the screen is not good enough for games or video apps along with som

Android E-Ink Readers for Hoopla?
Unfortunately, for most indie authors, putting your book on KU comes with exclusivity contracts so their books cannot be purchased or read anywhere else. You can always request a book through the Libby app and if your library obtains a copy, you'll be notified. But if you're a fast reader, that may

Doom on an eReader...
The Bigme B6 is way more powerful than the very limited hardware of Boox Go6. If you want simplicity... the Boox Go6 meets that need. If you want power and more choices in capabilities, then Bigme B6.

Boox or Kobo?
I own a Bigme B6 Color because I like to take it anywhere and 6" works for me, I also own a white Xteink X4 and a Kindle Paperwhite SE. With Wifi and BT off, I get up to 10 days, the non Android will go 3 weeks or more But it charges pretty fast, and it's a fast e-reader itself.

Thoughts about Bigme B6
I was checking: Bigme B6 Color Kobo Clara Colour Pocketbook Verse Pro Color Boox Go 7 Gen II (too expensive for me here at $ 375.00) I went for the black B6 Color because it can run any app out there for an e-reader, has Google Play store, it is fast and has a MicroSD slot up to 1TB. And ... it read

Nobody is talking about Musnap Neo (Black and White strictly)
Bargain. The Bigme carta1300 B6 costs another 50% more. *edit: mind you... for an extra USD5x you also get Android 14, a bump upto 4G RAM and SD card expansion and for me, serviceable onboard speaker too. I'm tempted by the Neo's sunken screen though... How much does it weigh?

Help me avoid buyers remorse, please!
Living out side of the us, a Kindle is not recommend if you want to use your local library it will not work. Kindle and kobo are about the same, they limit you to only one book store. You can side load books on both devices, but it requires a seperate computer and a little knowledge. A android eread

Lifespan of an Android e-reader running Android 11-14?
Yup, an ereader should be a light as possible with its apps and as long as you have a unintrusive way to add your library it shouldn't be a problem. Yup a couple of my tablets have had that fatal encounter with the floor. A Bigme B6 is a good choice (go for the 4/64 GB configuration, I own a color v

Ereaders for begginers?
Just got the Boox Leaf 5+ (China version of the Boox Go 7), and I’m liking it so far. The screen is good, jsyt needs a bit of tinkering with the eink setting for the apps once out of the box. Overall great, but it cost a bit more than a Kindle. I also have the Bigme B6 black and white version, but I
