Today on BIFL-TV: Headphones!🎧

I've had a pair of DT770 Pro 250ohm cans for 10 years and expect them to last another 10. Built like a tank and sound great (need an amp for the 250ohm version). Only things I've had to replace were the earpads and the plastic pieces below the headband. Highly recommend Beyerdynamic!

Which luxury brand is basically just overpriced junk with good marketing?

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro. They are probably one of the best pair of headphones for the price (roughly 150 bucks). You have probably seen them in videos of radio stations, podcasts, recording studios - they are everywhere. Best thing about them - you can get the whole damn thing in spare parts - down

Mark Gurman Responds to Last Week's Apple Device Leaks

headphones historically haven't needed to be updated as often as other tech though, as a good product stays a good product. the dt770 has been in service for decades and only recently got a xlr update. i got a pair of maxes recently and lossless is fucking gorgeous.

What are some of your best quality of life purchases under $300?

I'll recommend the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro. Bought my pair for about $160 in 2014 and the price has stayed the same, I've changed the pads and one of the plastic clasps where you adjust the size. The good thing about Beyerdynamic is that their models basically never change, they are very durable and

Replace earcups or wash? (DT880).

I have my dt 770 pro five years and just changed the pads the thirds time. Just buy new pads.

I need a gaming headset that isn't going to break itself within a year.

1990s are like 600-700 bucks, but you don't need to spend that kind of money. Dt 770/990 more than does the job for around 200. Personally I have a set of dt1990+modmic at home, and a set of dt770+modmic for work. The dt 770 set is 19 years old and still going strong.
