the beyerdynamics dt770 can pack a punch, cost around 100 bucks and have not ket me down since 1995.

If you like DT770 sound then you will have a big adjustment to make with either of these, but especially hd600. DT770 have boosted bass and highs, so most likely the hd600 will sound like they have no bass to your ears. If you like bass then 620s will give you more of that.
