Owning myself the BenQ PD2730S, the stand on it is really good and sturdy with barely any wobble, where my previous Dell monitors were dancing all over the place just by supporting my wrists on the desk and typing. So unless the stand in this model is worse, I personally don’t think the stand is uns

I am looking at the Benq PD2730S. I definitely want a matte one, I cannot stand the reflections. Will use it for everyday work, photo editing and occasional video editing.

I have a Dell U2721DE which is also 1440p. I have set it next to a BenQ PD2730S (5K) and the difference is noticeable at normal sitting distance even when using BetterDisplay to enable HiDpi. It is quite noticeable if you pixel peep. I also had the BenQ next to a Dell U2725QE, and to be honest the d

Is matte that bad? I’m weighing up Asus ProArt PA27JCV, BenQ PD2730S, and Apple Studio Display (VESA, used marketplace) and I don’t need a webcam or speakers but the ASD still seems to come out on top. Criticism of the others seems to be related to the matte finish

To confirm, you want another 27-inch display? Does the resolution have to match the 5K of the ASD XDR? Benq’s matte finishes are nice. The PD2730S may fit your needs, but may be noticeably dimmer compared to your XDR.

I’ve been texting both ProArts and my BenQ MA270S arrived today. The ProArt matte finish is really noticeable and not for me. I loved the 32” and the brightness, just wish I could get it in a gloss version.

I’m a bit of a giant so big arms + old eyes = desk depth :) I say go for it then. Only other interesting monitor to check is the new BenQ MA270S. Only TB4 and 70hz but is glossy 5k and a third of the price!

Thanks these are very useful insights. I have been commenting so much that I guess I was lazy on this one: I only mentioned the Asus ProArt and not the BenQ PD2730S, for some examples of competitor monitors. It’s important for me to mention that each is a 5K 27” monitor with the same retina PPI as t

I ended up going for the PD2730S. Very happy with it. I can’t tell you about the comparison of the monitors of my original question, but I personally don’t miss the 120hz. I don’t really notice much of a difference when I’m working from my Macbook Pro (120hz) or my monitor (60hz) but others might do
