The Dell is probably the best option for your use case, but in your position I’d look at either the BenQ MA270U, it’s designed specifically to color manage and be controlled by macOS similar to an Apple display, or the Asus ProArt 5K monitor (PA27JCV) which will provide a native 218 PPI for macOS. BenQ just released a glossy version of their Mac monitor MA270U. I'm desperately to get my hands on it, but it seems like the perfect monitor for someone who uses Mac and wants a glossy display that is not Apple Studio. But be aware that it is not 5k or 6k, and refresh rate is 60 Hz. Still, I'm wait

Yes, the standard studio display has a glossy finish, the nano textured version has a matte finish, although I would say the matte finish on the apple studio is a semi-gloss compared to BenQ MA270U If you work in controlled lighting and prioritize maximum color pop and crispness go with the gloss mo

Ok so here’s my story, bare with me: I got the MacMini M4. Debated on the cost of the ASD for a week or more (have a MacBook Pro so the mini wasn’t urgent). In my “home office” I would have the MacMini and my windows laptop for my regular 9-5. ASD can’t use two monitors and really has issues with Wi

Thanks for all the help, everyone! I have gone ahead and ordered the BenQ MA270U. I was specifically looking at a 27-inch, and this one seems like the most bang for the buck option at the moment. Haven't seen people complaining too much about it either. Unfortunately, can't say the same about the De

I have benq MA270U and tbh I’m not really a tech expert, so I can’t recommend much, but BenQ is a solid brand.

What I actually found is that you can try switching to other device in color mode in Display Pilot 2. For example, for my M4 Pro, M3 device 'look' seems pretty close. Another important note you should be aware of, BenQ won't match MacBook Pro screen perfectly. There will be a difference, no matter w

generally the way to go is an apple monitor, but they're not cheap and you probably don't need many of their features. to get close to mba/imac display look for hiDPI glossy monitors with P3 wide color gamut, for example benq MA270U or kuycon G27P

I would definitely recommend the MA270U. There’s a lot of videos on it of Mac users loving it. Like I said. It looks really good on my M4 Mini but after not seeing it on MacOS for a few weeks, then seeing it hooked up to my wife’s MacBook Pro. I was pleasantly surprised how close the sharpness and c
