Best Mini PC to Buy Right Now? (Performance, Value & Reliability)
I recently got a Beelink SER5 Max (Ryzen 7 7735HS 680M iGPU, 24GB) for my kids to play Minecraft (with some decent shader mods enabled), and it's surprisingly capable for 1080p gaming, I won't elaborate as there are a few youtube videos benchmarking a lot of games for this model so you can see exact

First 24/7 mini PC for Docker homelab / homeserver - what would you buy?
I run a Beelink SER5 Max with a 6800H and 32GB RAM as a PVE host. It’s not under high load, but it runs well. Thermal throttling will only be an issue under CPU intensive tasks, like extracting archives if you download via Usenet. That would be taxing for any system and these do run hotter given the

Is Magicnuc good and trustworthy?
I had a Beelink SER5 Max with a 6800U which ran around 78-79 under full load which was a pretty good temperature for a mini pc. Some of the Minisforum can also run under 80 under full load (not all of them though). But if you just do sporadic gaming and not play too demanding games then you will be

Looking to side grade till prices on pcs drop.
I never heard of Front Mission, but it looks like a remake was released in 2023 with modest system requirements. Warframe is definitely the most demanding game listed. All inexpensive mini pcs are Chinese brands which can be hit or miss. The two most trusted right now would be Beelink and GMKtec in

Beelink SER5 (Ryzen 5 5500U) - fan noise started after ~3 years, comes in long episodes
Here's a basic teardown for the earlier AZW/Beelink series. I've used Arctic MX-7 lately with amazing results! If changing the factory thermal paste doesn't change the fan, consider ordering a replacement fan. So far I've found Linda to be the most reliable for Chinese NUC fans.

Beelink SER8, Bad?
I just looked and saw nothing but 4+ star ratings. Sometimes I've seen ratings of 1 star given for things like delivery to the wrong house and I've seen 5 star ratings given by someone who says 'Got this for my grandson, can't wait To give it to him' so go figure. I've been happy with my beelink fwi
