Is this a good deal? Budget [$550]

I’d say no, the Bambino Plus is currently on sale for $400 brand new, and the grinder is $200 brand new. You’re saving $50 but are buying used machines that might have issues. I don’t have first hand experience with the grinder, but the general consensus here is that there are better options at the

New to this, new set up

Enjoy your new bambino! Yes, for that budget point I’d go for Baratza Encore ESP/ Pro or a DF54. Great grinders. The OXO should definitely be returned because it’s not really capable of doing what you need it for :) Have fun

What’s the best bang for your buck: espresso machines [2024]

used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

[USA - TJ Maxx] Breville Bambino Plus for 80$

Well you saved a ton of money so don’t skimp on a good grinder. It all depends how deep in the rabbit hole you want to go. I have this same machine with Baratza Encore ESP and am happy with it. I use the grinder for everything from espresso to pour over. If you can afford a $5-600 grinder, do you. T

I'm in the Netherlands and have had great support from Baratza for my encore ESP. I sent them an email asking about some discolouration on my burrset that looked like damage. They confirmed it was fine and sent me a new burr carrier for free because they weren't sure from the pictures if it was inta

Look into hand grinders, it'll take 30+ seconds & a bit of an arm workout but you'll get a good cup of espr

Good espresso machine for less than [$500??]

You’re going to be told, and it’s true, your budget should be weighted towards the grinder. $500 will get you a Breville Bambino ($300) a Baratza Encore ESP ($200). That set up and a little practice will get you a decent espresso. I don’t have any experience with either of those options, I just see
