Espresso lovers, whats the best espresso coffee maker/machine?
Search r/espresso for thousands of similar posts. The cheapest decent set up is probably around $/£/€500 which is a sage/Breville bambino and kingrinder k6 hand grinder or a Baratza encore ESP which is electric. Espresso as a hobby isn’t cheap

Best starter espresso machine [$500]
The grinder matters more than the machine, and you should budget a decent amount for that too. You also will likely need to budget $100-150 or so for accessories like a scale, decent tamper, distribution tools, and in some cases a nicer portafilter and basket. Some recommended combos: De’Longhi Stil

Best ESPRESSO machine
Baratza Encore ESP and a Breville Bambino. This is a solid, user friendly setup with some ways to upgrade (improved brew basket) and Baratza has long been the industry standard for your use case (you're ready to move into specialty coffee, but not ready to commit to spending your life savings). I wo

Espresso lovers, whats the best espresso coffee maker/machine?
Get the Baratza Encore ESP. Hand grinders are a pain especially for starters when you are still experimenting a lot.

Any tips? 1st Set-up
I HIGHLY recommend a burr grinder and some fresh whole beans. Something at least the Baratza Encore Esp if automatic or a decent burr hand grinder like the Kingrinder k6. Makes a huge difference.

My first thought when I saw this in Costco today:
Well.. it's actually the other way around. Espresso snobs will require NASA grade titanium boilers, a power plant style stats monitor and beans handpicked by virgins who whisper Swahili to the coffee plant during full moon only to pull a slightly above mediocre shot. Meanwhile you press a button and

I took some people’s advice & got the bambino & a grinder!! I’ve never made espresso before, can you tell me the tips & tricks or direct me to where I can watch videos? Ty!!
There are three encores. The original Encore (classic) which isn't great for espresso from what I've read. It may be quieter though. It has Baratza written down the side and at the base. It starts at about 150. The Encore ESP is 200, and has Baratza written near the hopper. Otherwise it looks simila
