Grounds come out in chunky clumps? [ECM automatik 54]

Isn't the answer right there: "WDT them away." Not at all uncommon--e.g. I've found that the Baratza Encore ESP can be the same, with my dark-roast beans. Interestingly, using the same burrs, the Baratza Encore ESP Pro produces non-clumpy, fluffy grounds, seemingly as the result of the grinder's inc

Best coffee grinder under 400$ Canadian for espresso and batch brew?

Look at Baratza Encore ESP Pro. Very dependable, high repairability, consistent grinds, a bit loud (subjective). I use Encore ESP (not Pro) for MM, Moka pot, Aeropress. Love it

Good espresso grinder under [$100]

When it comes to espresso capable grinders under $100, your only two options are to either go for a manual grinder (i.e. the Timemore C3 ESP or the Kingrinder K6) or to look for a used grinder on the second hand market. Your coffee grinder is equally as important as the espresso machine itself, so i

Grinder volume question [DF64 v2]

The Encore ESP Pro is a nice enhanced version of the Encore ESP. Note: the flavor profile is the same--the ESP Pro uses the same burrs as the ESP, and one should expect the same flavor between the 2 grinders, as a general matter. The biggest value is the ESP Pro's 2.2-micron display grind steps, as

Fancy grinder with cheap/basic espresso maker?

With the budget, I'd do a Baratza Encore ESP Pro over the original Encore ESP--a nice 2.2-micron grind precision, and producing fluffy grounds (plus, some nice, enhanced styling there). :)

New to this - help me choose a machine + grinder [$1,000]

Lelit anna is on sale for $480 in the US. It's a single boiler with a built-in PID. 57mm is a weird portafilter size, but normcore makes all the important accessories for that size (and you'll need a better tamp than the included one). Leaves you $400 to get a grinder. Baratza encore esp or esp pro

Help me pick a grinder for my Bambino Plus [$800]

If considering the Encore ESP, I'd also look at the Encore ESP Pro: the latter is a nice enhancement over the original ESP, with significantly tighter grind precision in the espresso range (a pretty amazing 2.2-micron display step, essentially near-stepless in practice--in comparison, the original E

Best single use grinder? [$200]

And I'd consider the newer Baratza Encore ESP Pro as well, for its enhanced precision and other benefits.

What is the best electric grinder I can source from Amazon on a budget? [$200]

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be flip, but this question gets asked so often here and it can be such a discussion. The Hoffmann video is a good comparison discussion/starting point. And the Coffee Geek article is great on the Baratza Encore ESP Pro. (Personally, I always think that espresso guru reviews

Help picking a grinder for breville touch

I have the barista pro and was frustrated by the grinder not being stepless. Couldn’t get the grind just right. I just got the Baratza Encore ESP Pro. I’m a week in and I love it.
