What was a very expensive item you bought which was really useful?
I went through 3 emersion blenders in 5 years. One was a gift, one was a grocery store giveaway and one we paid about $80 for. On every single one, the plastic bits on the wand broke. Where to spend vs splurge?
+1 for the BamixIt's less closed on the edges, which makes it less save to use, but because it catches the food from the sides as well, it works a lot better than the Braun blender I had before.

Bamix immersion blender- which one to keep? M07 or M11
Both! I like the longer shift and I don't like the curled cord. But then You say You like it, so maybe it's the right one for You???? Can You try both before You decide? I have not seen the one with the longer shaft. My MIL has a 160W shirt shaft one and it works great. I bought a Suiss line red set

What’s a cooking tool or gadget you can't live without?
It doesn’t even have a brand name it’s that old. I just call it “the deadly finger chopper”. The closest thing I can find is Bamix? There’s no guard. It’s a weapon!
