Depends on the device, I'm personally using Citron 0.6.1 on my Ayn Odin 2 Pro and it's working flawlessly using the mesa turnip drivers playing MK8 and Smash Bros Ultimate for me. Games like ToTK will still have issues regardless of which device you use right now.

I don't think I believe you. My Ayn Odin 2 pro (same specs) can't run this game's particle effects without the framerate plummeting as OP is talking about. I don't know what could be different between your system and mine to allow yours to run better

What stats are you getting? I remember getting pretty bad decoding times and massive input lag with my AYN Odin 2 Pro.

Get a better device. I have fruits taking up the entire server and I have never experienced lag unless it's during the egg war. I'm using an ayn odin 2 pro max.

My 2 cents: Ayn Odin 2 Pro / Odin 2 Portal are the largest form factor devices I will comfortably use. I will pick my Odin 2 Pro over my Steam Deck in 90% of situations because it is more comfortable. Don’t bother with the RG556, if you really wanted it, go with the RG557, and even then, the driver
