Buying my first NAS
I had planned to buy the Asustor NimbuStor 4 Gen2 AS5404T NAS which has upgradable RAM & 4 SSDs, but it would've been €300 more in total.. (€150 difference from DriveStor 4 bay to NimbuStor 4 bay) I won't be using apps that need SSD speed like media streaming, VMs & stuff so I don't think it'll be

No warning if I remove a drive? FLASHSTOR 12 Pro Gen2 FS6812X
Strange that the Reds are giving you problems. I am running 10x 8TB SN850X drives in both my Gen 1 and Gen 2 and they’ve been rock solid (the OS however has been spotty…). I did have issues with heat which is understandable and my solution was to take the top cover off and drop a dual 120mm USB fan
