u/crispysmoove I agree with u/TheImmortal_TK that ASUS would be a solid pick for you. BTW I have the slightly older ASUS XT8 mesh system and it works well in wireless backhaul, as it's tri-band WiFi 6 (2.4/5/5ghz bands). One of the 5ghz bands is dedicated to mesh traffic and the other 5ghz is just f

Ok. So i did some digging. I was Looking into the zenwifi xt9 (which I Can get a new pair of at around 200$), because I would be able to use my ax86upro as the main node and then mesh (wireless backhaul). However, I have read so many frustrating posts here bashing the connection and stability on the

The ASUS XT8 is very close to the XT9 in specs, and the XT8 may be a bit cheaper, depending on where you are. The major difference is the XT8 only supports a max 80mhz on the 5ghz-1 (client traffic) band, whereas the XT9 supports 160ghz on the 5ghz-1 band. So XT8 isn't a perfect match to the XT9, bu

I wanted triband but also didn't want to burn my wallet for features that won't be noticeable for 99% of my usage. I went with triband wifi 6. It is a few year old model, but it is a powerhouse. Asus XT9 was on sale for $199 at MicroCenter. It is $350 or more if you buy direct from Asus. Sadly thoug

I would go for the ASUS XT9. You can get two routers for about $200 currently. They do a fantastic job. If you want to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6e (I would recommend) you can get the ET9 model for about $30 more.

I recently bought one about a month ago to mesh (moca back haul) with an Asus XT9. I replaced my main XT9 because it did not correctly handle multicast traffic from the satellite when configured with a wired back haul (and wireless back haul was not 100% stable, maybe 98%). I have wireless speakers
