Dream Router 7 or Asus BT8/BT10

I'm sure most everyone here will suggest unifi products but I have two asus bt10's hard wired backhaul via MOCA and it works great. No issues. Good wifi throughout the entire house and basement and even into most of my yard.

Help me choose between ASUS and TP-Link mesh systems

I have an ASUS BT10 as my primary router and BT8 as a node. I think it’s an excellent system, especially if you can hard wire the two together. I personally switched from TP-Link due to the possibility of security concerns, and also there was some discussion around possibly banning TP-Link sales in

Asus AiMesh Node for my ASUS RT-BE96U Router

ZenWifi isn't the name of one unit, but the branding for their entire mesh lineup. I just purchased a BE96U and two BT10 mesh units this past week. They have very similar internal hardware, but the BE96U has external (large) antennas and the firmware has some options that aren't made available to th

Dream Router 7 or Asus BT8/BT10

You sound exactly like me. Work from home. Don't mind tinkering, hate fixing. Computer background from school (lawyer now though). I have an old house, fiber comes in the back of the house and I have cat6 running around the outside of the house to the middle and end of my house. (My house is long an

Projecting downward with safe devices

The best answer would be to hardwire (ethernet) an access point in the basement to the router on the first floor. That said, I currently use two asus BT10 mesh routers with wireless backhaul, main one on 2nd floor and the mesh ap on the 1st floor and it covers our entire house, basement and 2.4ghz c

Great to hear. I have asus bt10's and have also had a good experience with them over the past year or so I've had them. Hardwired backhaul with MoCA.

Does Asus AiMesh have good roaming?

I have aimesh with two asus BT10's, they are on opposite sides of the house (2700 sqft), hardwired backhaul via MoCA. They seem to do a good job of allowing clients to roam between the two BT10's. I've tested it with gaming while walking around and walking around (and confirming the client switches)

Mesh systems for stronger home internet coverage in 2026?

I'm using an Asus ZenWiFi BT10 mesh with wireless backhaul, and it works really well. The wireless backhaul uses wifi-7 MLO (despite whether you use MLO for clients or not), and this really ups the wireless backhaul game for a mesh. Very close to as fast as when I used wired backhaul via MoCA. So no

New router recommendations and understanding wifi 7

Most more-than-basic wireless routers will allow you to set up your network the way you want it. You can assimilate all bands into the same SSID or you can separate your 2.4G and 5G networks (and 6G for Wifi 7) into different SSIDs. If you assign SSIDs like your previous wireless router (and use the

I am getting slow speeds with TP Link Deco BE63

You should have the BE63 nodes in mesh wifi router mode, which uses the mesh for your router. You could also use the mesh in AP mode, but it sounds like there's something wrong with your IP Passthrough setup. I have an AT&T gateway here in IP Passthrough mode connected to an Asus BT10 mesh, and it w
