normally i wanted to buy it, but that‘s what i think too, it will be pretty expensive.. ended up buying an ASUS RT-BE88U which has also very fast VPN speeds.. and it‘s a great deal for the price.

Good Wi-Fi Router in 2026. Any recommendation?
Just bought the ASUS RT-BE88U WIFI 7 router,beyond outstanding!!! I am getting over 900MB on WIFI on a 1GB Ethernet connection and established a Mesh network using RP-BE58. Great software,frequent firmware updates and Best Buy offers excellent guarantees/warranties. Good luck!

Looking for the best high-end router for fiber internet (2 Gbps+, WiFi 6 or newer) with strong range and no ISP restrictions
I use a ASUS RT-BE88U as my primary router with. 2tb Aussie broadband NBN package and can confirm it's a banger. If you can find one on sale somewhere? It's well well worth.

I'm confused on how exactly to get our 8Gb fiber internet to multiple devices
you will need a router that has 2 10Gb ports one for wan and one for lan, your current router is limited to 2.5Gb on lan physically. The ASUS RT-BE88U has 2 10Gb ports so if you were to get this it is an affordable router that you can then connect a 10Gb switch to the 10GB lan side of the router and

Fios lag/dropping packets
Looks like it was the crappy CR1000B router the entire time. Got an ASUS RT-BE88U - BE7200 and its all fixed no issues/drops.

Mesh wifi dillema
I love my ASUS RT-BE88U WIFI 7 router paired with several ASUS RP-BE58 Mesh extenders. Just “marry” the extenders to the main router and in your case,use the RT-AC86U as one of the extenders. Good luck! WIFI 7 is almost 2X the speed of WIFI 6.

Can we run pihole directly on router?
I have an Asus RT-BE88U, which is a fairly decent router and whilst I probably could run Pihole on it I wouldn't. Space is limited, performance might not be great, port 53 is used already by internal dnsmasq, you mess something up you need to take your whole network offline to fix it or restore sett
