Good Wi-Fi Router in 2026. Any recommendation?
Just bought the ASUS RT-BE88U WIFI 7 router, beyond outstanding!!! I am getting over 900MB on WIFI on a 1GB Ethernet connection and established a Mesh network using RP-BE58. Great software, frequent firmware updates and Best Buy offers excellent guarantees/warranties. Good luck!

Mesh wifi dillema
I love my ASUS RT-BE88U WIFI 7 router paired with several ASUS RP-BE58 Mesh extenders. Just “marry” the extenders to the main router and in your case, use the RT-AC86U as one of the extenders. Good luck! WIFI 7 is almost 2X the speed of WIFI 6.

Router Recommendations
👍 I just stumbled onto this: https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1049415/ It mentions VLAN functionality for some Asus routers. Example, Asus RT-BE88U. That router has the vlan support mentioned in the faq. It's also AiMesh compatible (so it supports mesh functionality via wired/wireless backhaul).

Can you use multiple routers?
not true regarding not recommended to have multiple in the same house. look up asus hardwired aimesh. i have this configuration (two asus rt be88u routers) and it works great. of course, the config assumes you have ethernet at least to each router. most of my devices are ethernet but the aimesh then
