Wow if I'm honest AUD$1300 for a home router setup is insane. Even TP Link's own BE9700 would be more than adequate for under $400, and Ubiquiti or Asus offer equiv/superior options for the same money. I won't suggest any specific models as I don't know which manufacturers meet your Customer Support

It might not be the router itself. The PlayStation 5 speed test can be pretty inconsistent and often depends on Sony’s servers. Even with a fast router like the ASUS RT-BE82U, results can vary a lot. You could try testing the same Ethernet cable and port with a PC to see if you can hit closer to 900

I had a Netgear Nighthawk XR500 I needed to upgrade so I bought a Nighthawk RS300 . Had issues with wifi randomly disconnecting . Returned it and wound up buying an Asus RT-BE82U instead . Much better for what I needed

As I understand it from others on here, Windstream fiber doesn’t use a modem, just an ONT that connects to a router. That router can be theirs or yours. If you want to use your own, these should handle a 2gb connection: GL.iNet Flint 3 (GL-BE9300) TP-Link Archer BE9300 ASUS RT-BE82U The main things

Between the ASUS TUF AX6000 and the ASUS RT-BE82U, I'd choose the RT-BE82U as the router for these reasons: Even though it only has 2x2 for 2.4ghz, it has 4x4 for 5ghz, which is more important [higher speed band]; it is WiFi 7 (dual band but still, newer tech); all its WAN/LAN ports are 2.5gigabit;

TLDR: I'd suggest the RT-BE82U for dual-band WiFi 7 (2.4ghz/5ghz) as it has 2.5gb WAN/LAN ports. I'd suggest the TUF-BE9400 for tri-band WiFi 7 (also has 2.5gb WAN/LAN ports) and also has 6ghz band if that is important. Details: Good options listed above (ASUS BE3600 or TP-Link BE6500) but I don't l

No worries, glad you found it useful. By the way the TP Link products (such as the BE6500) are generally a better value than most other router brands if you do not plan to use TP-Link's additional security features. With TP-Link you only get basic security with the router purchase, then you need to

(Part 1/2) How large is the residence that needs WiFi coverage? On how many floors (looks like just two)? Are you interested in WiFi 6E or WiFi 7? What's your budget? I'll assume a maximum of $300 USD. I'll focus on WiFi 7 below, but if you specify additional requirements I could share additional re

I use this one, it has Wi-Fi 7, and 5 2.5GbE ports. RT-BE82U. It;s on sale big time, but out of stock.I searched for about a week never finding a good router, then finally found this one. I want to get a second one to use for a mesh on the other side of my house.https://www.asus.com/us/networking-io

I just switched to KUB! I bought my own router from best buy. I personally prefer ASUS, and I went with the RT-BE82U. Seemed like a good balance of cost and the features I needed. So far kub has been working well.
