This is already an issue, just because a router is 1Gbit, doesnt mean its processor can handle that throughput, case in point my old Asus RT-AC68U. It is a gigabit router, but throughput with features turned on max out the CPU and you only get about 700mbit from the WAN. Lots of people with old jank

"My ASUS RT-AC68U seems to be limiting the speed on 2.4 GHz — I can’t even get close to 100 Mbps"- Thats about right. Practical speeds on 2.4GHz are about 50ish Mbps using default settings. Want higher speeds? Use 5GHz.

That's pretty much what I'm currently experiencing with AC68U. I could swear it used to download at 500-600 in our previous apartment, and now it's down to just 200-300 on a 1 gbps WAN as well - same ISP, same plan. No changes to settings.

Ive had one for a while too - until area offered 2Gig Fiber - so i needed to upgrade the router since ports were only 1gig (and everything else in the house also eneded refreshing to support to at least 2.5g) to achieve advertised speeds; So I ended up getting into pfsense on a minipc with dual SFP+

Thank you for continuing to offer suggestions! Turns out, breaking WOL is something ASUS routers are known to do. (conversely, TP-LINK routers are really good for WOL users) I was unable to find this information before, because the threads talk about WOL over the WAN - and I was searching for WOL ov

Thanks I'll review this, however the issue is on the Asus AC68U end. Brume 2 exit node is working fine, as I have tested my PC, iPhone and android show the exit node IP when using the brume 2 exit node. However your plug-in looks promising for an Older Brume 1 I may want to test. Is that compatible

That particular router is came out in 2012. Any reasonably current Asus router will be substantially better. If you can, I would get a WiFi 7 model. The RT-BE50 is one of the cheaper models, but it only has 3 ports, as the 4th is a 2.5Gb WAN port. If you don't need the 4 LAN ports that will work fin
