No idea wtf the other person is talking about but Xbox has been going off the deep end lately with their new price increases, causing a huge uproar. 7 year old consoles are somehow getting their prices raised 50-100 bones, Game Pass getting a huge price hike so many are unsubscribing, the ROG Ally X

Had an Xbox rog ally x, sold it because it was much easier just to play on my switch 2 ( lighter in weight and didnt have to mess around with settings for every game ) Xbox def more powerful but you still have to fiddle settings, deal with windows and I feel it's no longer needed with the third part

I have not run an eGPU with my flowz13, but I did run a 4060 eGPU with my ROG ally x, and the same principle applies, you won’t get full performance bc you’re going to be a bit bandwidth limited by thunderbolt 5 or whatever usb connection, but it should be better… the 8060s is about 4060-4070 perfor

Ok, you might be confusing some of the devices, they do all sound similar The Lenovo Legion Go 1 and the ROG Ally X both use the same processor, the Z1 Extreme. They are both from 2024 (technically Oct '23 for LeGo 1). So the Ally X is not far more potent. I think you might be confusing the ROG Ally

Notes to self, maybe also relevant for you: DUD TOOLS: AutoSR (Automatic Super Resolution) outside/out-of-game OS-level upscaler (supposed to use special NPU AI chip in Xbox Ally X)... but the implementation ALL OUT-OF-GAME IS TERRIBLE, as it requires low OS-level internal Display mode res to be set

My gaming PC with a 5070ti plays it pretty well but my Rog Ally X barely plays it at 30 FPS, and I had to use Optiscalar to get FSR/XeSS since the game only supports DLSS. I just got the legion go s w/steamos. I prefer it over my ROG Ally X but a mile. Same chip but the screen so much better for my old man eyes lol. I also love the console like experience with steam os. Screw windows 🤣

Unless you are ok with pretty much the exact same performance as you had on your Steam Deck you would be better off looking for a used ROG Ally or Legion Go. Even at Go S with the Z2 Go will be an upgrade from the Steam Deck.
