Xbox is treating the ROG Xbox Ally like a true-blue Xbox, despite the fact that any regular console gamer might get confused when they load up their device and realize OneDrive and Microsoft Teams come pre-installed, and their Xbox-specific games cannot run on the handheld hardware Fucking Teams, ma

Absolutely. I will always buy a game on Xbox if it’s Play Anywhere. My setup is built around it. PC in my office, Series X in the living room, ROG Ally X for on the go. Play Anywhere works like a charm.

No idea wtf the other person is talking about but Xbox has been going off the deep end lately with their new price increases, causing a huge uproar. 7 year old consoles are somehow getting their prices raised 50-100 bones, Game Pass getting a huge price hike so many are unsubscribing, the ROG Ally X

At same the wattage this is true but the nice thing about the Z2E handhelds is that they often have much larger batteries than the Steam Deck. The Ally X & Xbox ROG Ally X for instance has a 80W battery which is 60% higher than the Steam Deck OLED’s so you can play at a much higher wattage than the

Between the Switch 2, Xbox Rog Ally X and Steam Deck, it feels like the market is filling up slowly with more handhelds, which can only be a good thing imo. Developers will hopefully be more likely to make settings or even entire games that benefit these systems more and more.

I choose an ROG Ally X because I wanted “a bigger battery”… I ended up getting a Steam Deck OLED as well later because I wanted the track pads. The interesting thing I found is that the deck is just SO optimised that the battery performance is the same as the Ally X is almost every game. Example, my

Interesting comments so far. Game is smoother than FH5 and menu navigation seems thought through. Experience on ROG Xbox Ally X and my series X comparitively is closer than it was on FH5. The dynamics between the two systems on FH5 was difficult to get used to. Only about 3 hours of actual driving s

That's their secret of success, and why it endures despite so many more powerful devices like the Legion Go or the Rog Ally X. They sold Steamdecks at a fraction of what they could, they keep it up-to-date, they have excellent customer service, and they made the process of purchasing games easy and

Thr Xbox Ally will have better ergonomics and 50% bigger battery The ROG Ally will have much better performance. 50-100% depending on the game. I would get the ROG unless you only want to play indie and lighter games.

As ROG Xbox Ally X owner, these are all great changes. The only thing left I wish they’d address is gamepad responsiveness in the Xbox UI, especially coming out of sleep. It’s nowhere near as fast as console.
