Don't do it. You have a very good Laptop. The Legion go 2 maybe has 20% if not less the power of your 4080 I have an asus rog ally z1 extreme and a 4070 lenovo yoga pro i. The yoga beats it in every category. Maybe the legion go is a little bit more portable, but it looses in every other aspect.

I got mine very recently too but it's only the original ROG ally non-extreme edition I play from the cloud too but the reason is because Asus had nerfed it severely.

Steam Deck is easy to repair (at least any parts that's not on main board). I sold mine like new for similar price, because I got bored of using it when I had other devices. It's definitely safer to buy used steam deck than first rog ally, because asus parts are very expensive.
